About Sienna
Sienna Miller was born on December 28, 1982 in New York, before shortly moving to London. Sienna went to a boarding school in Ascot, Surrey and developed a passion for film as well as training as a singer, and doing a bit of modelling. After school it was back to
New York to study acting full time at the Lee Strasberg Institute and appeared in a few NY productions. Sienna secured a top UK agency to hunt down roles for her and she appeared in the BBC series Bedtime. This led on to 'Keen Eddie', While in the UK, Sienna lives in Notting Hill.

Modeling

Prior to her professional acting career, Sienna worked as a model for Coca-Cola, Italian Vogue, Prada and the 2003 Pirelli Calendar. She also signed a two-year contract with Pepe Jeans London that was released in 2006.

Acting
In
2005, Miller made her professional stage debut as Celia in a West End production of Shakespeare's As You Like It. Sienna had supporting roles in the remake of the 1966 movie Alfie [ she had fab outfits!] starring Jude Law in 2004. In the same year, she made Layer Cake with Daniel Craig. In 2005, Sienna played the female lead opposite Heath Ledger in the period drama, Casanova. This was shortly followed by what is known as her breakthrough role portraying 1960s socialite and Andy Warhol's muse Edie Sedgwick in the film Factory Girl. Although the film has been deemed controversial, her performance was highly acclaimed. She has also had roles in film Stardust, Interview and Camille.

Coming in
2008, Sienna has a lead role in the film version of writer Michael Chabon's novel, The Mysteries of Pittsburgh, and has filmed The Edge of Love, with friend Keira Knightley, a biopic of Dylan Thomas in which she plays his wife Caitlin and romantic interest of Knightley's character. She has also worked on Hippie Hippie Shake which is set in 1960s America. She has just wrapped up filming on GI Joe , and is next set to film Importance, a contemporary re-working of Oscar Wilde's A Woman of No Importance which is apparently set to be filmed in Australia late 2008

Her influence on fashion ; a modern day style icon?
‘Sienna Miller - The Brit It Girl’

Sienna Miller’s style—not to mention her personal life—has always been under scrutiny. So what’s a world famous fashionista to do? It seems that the Factory Girl star ascribes to every chic actress’s favorite maxim: looking good is the best revenge, looking great is even better. Every gal round the world may be emulated her signature boho chic look of skinny jeans, flowing tops, and long locks in 03/04 , but, like a true trendsetter, as everyone was in love with their boho chic style- Sienna had already switched style lanes and left the wannabes in the dust.

Having turned the world on with her free-flowing brand of boho chic (she's among the key culprits behind everybody and their mother now wearing tunic tops and tucking their jeans into boots). “ When people label me 'boho-chic,' it makes me want to cut my hair off and start dressing like a punk," Sienna tells British Vogue in its February issue. Well she must have had enough as she delved into her role as Edie Sedgwick in Factory Girl, chopping her locks and going mad for mod. Perhaps not coincidentally in 2006, designers followed suit, with swinging '60s silhouettes and Op-Art prints dominating runways from New York to Milan. She may have singly handlely re-invented the term boho-chic and caused hippy madness everywhere but Sienna still continues to inspire women around the world with her effortless carefree style of fashion today.

Twenty-8-Twelve
Sienna also has her own fashion label [financially backed by Pepe jeans] that she shares with her sister [who used to be a fashion designer for Chloe] .Called
Twenty8Twelve, it gets its name from Sienna Miller's date of birth . Miller designed the label's first range with her sister Savannah. The designing duo presented pieces from the range in May 2007. The 80-piece line premiered on July 26, 2007 in New York City
